Clinic significance

Useful for diagnosing pheochromocytoma.Plasma catecholamines are indicated when the blood is drawn during a clinical episode.
Urine catecholamines: the rate of elimination reflects the rate of synthesis in the periphery.

  • lithium heparin plasma (do not use tubes with separator gel)
