Clinic significance
A marker for type II chronic active hepatitis (which mainly affects females of between 2 and 15 years of age). Also found at low titers in patients infected with HCV.
Immunofluorescence-based screening results using rat kidney-liver-stomach multiple substrate should be confirmed performing a test specific of the target antigen (P450 2D6 cytochrome).
