Clinical significance
The CAR makes it possible to assess the state of the adrenal response on awakening by measuring the rise in cortisol levels at 30 minutes compared to baseline levels.

Further information
Samples are taken from a ¿saliva bottle¿, a sterile powder container (ECBU jar), a sputum jar or any other container (polypropylene tube, etc.) without additives or activators. The first is done on waking and the second after 30 minutes, without eating, sleeping or brushing your teeth (possible contamination by blood) but with your usual morning activity.
