Clinical significance
Use therapeutically in cases of tricholeukocyte leukaemia, diffuse melanoma, AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma, metastatic or recurrent renal cancer and in the course of active adult chronic hepatitis C. Has numerous side effects (appearance of anti-interferon antibodies, influenza-like syndromes, nausea, haematological disorders, etc.) that require close clinical and biological monitoring.
