Clinical significance
A triazole antifungal with a broad spectrum of activity: yeasts, dermatophytes, Aspergillus, perfect and imperfect fungi and many occasionally pathogenic fungi. Low toxicity so this test is usually ordered to make sure that the drug is being absorbed adequately.
