Clinical significance
An antidepressant, dual serotonin and norepinephrine uptake inhibitor. Has no affinity for alpha-adrenergic, H1 histaminergic, D1 and D2 dopaminergic, benzidiazepine and opoid receptors. Emetic effect at high doses. No cardiotoxicity.
