Clinical significance

Detection of specific IgE directed against 30 common allergens (19 airborne and 11 food allergens). This test is not suitable for screening purposes but it can be useful when it is difficult to identify an allergen on the basis of either the patient's oral responses or cutaneous challenge testing.
