Samples without fixative
Suspicion of dermatophytosis: In the case of recent or ongoing antifungal treatment, wait 1 month after stopping treatment before taking nail and hair samples, and at least 2 weeks for skin samples. Do not use red-capped swabs. Nail swabs are not accepted.
Buccal swabs: Swabbing is reserved for patients with a visible lesion or who are unable to wash their mouth. In all other cases, it is preferable to perform a mouthwash.
Mouthwash: 10-second mouthwash with 10 ml sterile DE collected in a bottle, send the whole amount to the laboratory.
Mandatory specification of the mushroom sought in the event of a specific request
