Clinic significance

Heparin is prescribed to prevent or correct thrombosis and embolization. For low molecular weight heparin therapy, the sample should be taken 3 to 4 hours after injection.

  • Sample 3 to 4 hours after subcutaneous injection of Lovenox®, Fragmine®, Fraxiparine® , Clivarine® or 4 to 6 hours after subcutaneous injection of Innohep® or Fraxodi®
  • ALWAYS specify the current anticoagulant treatment (dosage) and the injection and sampling times
  • It is advisable to send us a frozen and centrifuged citrate sample in compliance with the GFHT pre-analytical recommendations.
  • Sample to be frozen within 1 hour. Home sampling is not advisable.
  • Enclose the specific clinical information form (R5-INTGB : Haemostasis)
